I am Flying
I used to be a chasm; A pit, or an abyss they'd say. But surely I was meant for more, I always would pray. Slipping into depression, I would slowly decay. I seemed horrified, by the thought, of living to see another day.
But someone touched me, lightly within my soul. I found myself flying, through the clouds, and over the world. I am the divine messenger, sent to clear the world of pain. My heart would pound, send a thud, and send me on my way. I am a poet, telling my tales of sorrow. But I won my battle, I became an angel, and God sent me here today.
Hello, sweet world.
I'm alive again.
And I'm not simply walking, I'm flying!
