It is Three O'Clock in the Morning
It is three o’clock in the morning. Sinister darkness surrounds me. I look up in complete revelation, Mount Masada is right before my eyes. Its massive presence depicts so much power, and command. Thousands of years of history lie beneath every dent and crease of this mountain. I feel like the Israelites who made this trip before me, courageous, strong, but also apprehensive. I walk my way through the dust and dirt, while the boiling heat melts my body. The narrow, man made path leads higher and higher. I look up, and see I’m at my destination. Light begins to furtively creep from the peaks of the mountain. The sun’s bright, orange light, beams brighter and stronger. A complete sense of bliss takes me to a state of epiphany. This beautiful, miraculous place is my heaven on earth.
