The best things happen unexpectedly!

A few episodes into Gossip Girl, we learn that Blair (played by Leighton Meester) is recovering from bulimia. Her struggle with body image is evident in the show's very first episode, although it's only hinted at.
In one scene, we see Blair trying on a dress and critically looking at herself in the mirror. A moment later, her mother comes in and reminds her that she will never be prettier or thinner than she is at that moment.
From “Gossip Girl”, 1 episode.

The ideal figure did not work out for the main character of the series "Physical", housewife Sheila Rubin (played by Rose Byrne). However, the figure did not work out only in her head: at the heart of each episode are the inner monologues of the incredibly beautiful and very slender Sheila, filled with real hatred for herself and her body. However, even the echoes of these monologues do not reach others.

From “Physical”.

There are so many other movies&series which address the topic of eating disorders like bulimia, anorexia, body dysmorphie and others. And how said queen “B”—“Bulimia is a serious disease.” Dear teens, if you feel something wrong with your body, please tell your parents or friends adt your problem. Disorders are often romanticized in TV shows, while this is one of the biggest problems of modern society (especially teenagers, when their body is just beginning to form, and the psyche is not yet stable and amenable to bullying). Take care of your health 🙏🏻

XoXo, your lovely girl!

Actually I also have Eating disorder&Bulimia, so I know what I’m talking about. I was 10 when the disorder has dragged me down. And im still struggling. Please, don’t be afraid to share your feelings about the body with your loved ones, they will be able to help you and support you morally.

You can also write me in instagram @vizvishh if you’re feeling uncomfortable to share with your family, I’ll try to help you, my dears!
Best wishes, your Lea
