When You Give a Girl a Voice Letter to the Editor
I found Anudeepa Ramachandrian's poem "When You Give a Girl a Voice" extremely moving. Her voice throughout the poem showed that she beleives in what she is writing. As a female, I felt somewhat connected because what she was saying was true. When you give someone a voice and want to advocate for something, they won't let anything get in the way of it. One of my favorite lines was,"when you try and distract her, she'll orchestrate a change." The poem is empowering and shows how things change when someone was given power. Thank you Anudeepa for your inspirational poem that will hopefully inspire people as much as it did for me.
