The writing titled “Midnight Drive” written by Jorden G. is about a family’s drive to taco bell. The author’s writing left me feeling happy yet confused. The main character was arguing with his brother, like normal siblings do, in the drive through. When the author wrote “ My eyes wander the car, noticing the stickers on the windshield and mud on the wheels.” I felt like something was going to happen. I think this was a clever use of foreshadowing. After the author wrote “ I sigh and watch as he drives away in his old ugly chevy.” I was confused on what had happened. I went back and read the story again and came to the conclusion that something had happened in the past with the people in the old chevy, but now doesn’t bother hi as much as it once did in the past.
