In his article, CJ Albright deserves to be praised for their courage to speak out on rape as unacceptable and plainly wrong. In our current society, many people agree with Albrecht’s stance but many others see it as the victim holds responsibility for being raped. “No means no” is a highly influential phrase that reminds men and women that boundaries are okay. However, men and women have to be reminded that it is also okay to feel uncomfortable with not only a physical approach but also a verbal approach that you don’t consider respectful to your person. We are all people with value, therefore, we need to know who we are and what our body is because self-esteem and self-respect is a REAL thing which other people have no right to exploit.
