The writing titled Sixteen, written by Gabrielle Lattery, talks about when she was sixteen she thought that she would never be in an accident. In the article, it says, “…naïve teenagers receive keys to machines that end 1.3 million lives a year.” This means that some teens should not get their drivers licenses when they are sixteen because they are not ready to have that big of a responsibility. She also says that, “… kids still raise their hands to go to the bathroom and are entrusted with a responsibility that pleads-no, requires an abrupt transformation into adulthood.” This means that some teens are not ready to handle the big world yet. It also says “They think they are ready to take on the world. The unlucky ones soon face the truth.” This means that they think that they can do everything which they can’t and they try but they fail. Her writing left me feeling impressed.
