Response to "kiss" by Aryelle Young
“Kiss” by Aryelle Young, is a poem filled with love, compassion, and of course affection. It affected me, due to my soft spot for these lovey-dovey things. Line after line I felt my heart beat only for my significant other. Almost as if feeling someone else’s heart right up against mine! “With your arms my lattice, green ivy I become.”, chills sprinted up and down my spine when I read this.
To love and be loved is a magnificent thing. But pen can tell not, what the heart commands, to put these into writing, a thing so “dang” grand. I put out my fists they become hands. I’ll read it to him, and hope he feels the same. The same that I had when read unto thee. Your poem, Aryelle Young, I consider a manifestation of love in its pureness.
