As I was reading through, looking for poems to read, I saw a title that caught my attention. The poem was “Sour Summer” by Maggie Apple; I thought it would be a sad poem when I read the title. But it was different; it was a happy poem that talked about nothing more than good times during summer.
I really enjoyed this poem, even though it is very short. This reminds me of all the fun things there are to do during the best season of the year. You can go out and have a barbeque; you can go swimming, and the best thing to do is play sports. Summer gives you that feeling of everything coming back to life. People are in great moods (most of the time), there are parties, and the sun is shining like never before.
