Porland at Night
As I started going through the poetry section the one that caught my eye the most was, “Portland at Night”. While I was reading the poem I could visualize this city as a party place. Where you can go and have all the problems in the world and not worry about anything. When I got to the end of the poem I couldn’t understand what it meant until I read it the second time. I could understand what the author’s meaning of this poem was that life is short and that we should enjoy it as much as we can. We can’t go back and fix what we did or what we didn’t do.
I could connect to this poem a lot because I like to have fun and enjoy life and I try to live life to the fullest but there are sometimes when I feel a lot of regret because I didn’t do something right or I had a chance to do something and I didn’t take it. I really like this poem because it talks about reality and life.
