A Homeless Soldier
"Alice's" article got me thinking about the hypocrisy of American society. It is true that many people are quick to announce their support of the troops when they look the other way as they drive past a scraggly-looking man begging for spare change on the street corner. This homeless man could very well be a veteran. Most of us simply do not know how war really is or the everlasting effects it has on a soldier. "Alice" showed me to look beyond the surface because, at first glance, I don't know it all. There's more to find out.
