Neglected
Neglected by Elizabeth W. is an amazing poem that has a deeper meaning than what people think. It explains how a neglected heart may become nothing but stone. I enjoyed knowing that someone can imply when you play though it can be dangerous. It’s not always about being tough and acting like you’re stronger than someone else, sometimes it’s just about having and giving love. After waiting for so long you begin to lose after so much rejection.
Elizabeth does a great job of showing us in her poem how a heart ends with a stone. It’s an amazing poem that so many teenagers can connect to in different ways. Us being teenagers we can relate to how it feels to be rejected. We can also understand how after so long we begin to lose the need of love. This poem was very relatable for teenagers and we need stories that can explain how some of us truly feel.
