Swish

In “Swish”, Alex B is practicing for the city championship basketball game. He enters an empty gym and just shoots baskets for a while and practices. Then during the game, he is playing and there is only a little amount of time left in the game and he scores the winning basket to break the tie and win the championship.

I like this story because I can really connect to its. I am always practicing my game. I like how the author uses onomatopoeia at the end of every paragraph and at the end of the story. I also think that this story is a little too perfect because a kid can practice all the time and still not make the team, or get a chance to take the winning basket, goal or touchdown. I thought it was a really good story, but it is only relatable to a certain extent.
