In her article from the November, 2013 issue of Teen Ink, Madison Waller depicts the loss of a sibling moving to college. Called “Becoming an Only Child,” her article depicts her departing with her loving brother, who is leaving for college, and her experience with trying to cope with her younger brother leaving for college too. I was touched that she was so close to her brother and sad of his departing. With her vivid description at the emotions associated with the event, I felt as if I was experiencing what she had gone through, which I have. My older brother has also left the house to pursue education, leaving me alone in the house with my dad.
