A Hair's Strength MAG
I was deeply touched by Stephanie S.’s article, “A Hair’s Strength.” I admire her commitment to her best friend. I understand how hard it is to watch someone you care about doing something self-destructive, and she really showed how much she cared for “Mary” when she shaved her head after Mary’s anorexia caused her hair to fall out. I completely agree when Stephanie said, “A girl’s hair is her pride, her identity.” It really made me think about how much of my pride I would be willing to give up for a friend, and, honestly, I am not sure. This article was truly humbling, and I hope that I can be as good and strong a friend as Stephanie.
