Sappy Article
“A Boy’s First Kiss” by Cody S. is the story about a 16-year-old boy getting his first kiss from his girlfriend. It tells how he feels from getting a ride home from his girlfriend to actually kissing her. It’s a story, however, that I really disliked. I didn’t like how it was divided into times. For one thing, it makes the article feel all choppy. Also, it makes me wonder how the heck did he remember all of those times and what he did specifically at those times? I was thinking about how he remembered all of those times more than the actual kiss.
I also don’t like how he worded it. It seems like he’s filling out a questionnaire and he’s filling in the blanks about “What He’s Thinking” or “What He Does.” The whole article just seems like a “Twilight” book. It’s too sappy and cheesy, and sadly that took me out of the story.
