When I first came to middle school, I was put in a class of "popular" kids. Those kids made cruel jokes and gestures. I mostly kept to myself and because of that, I never fit in anywhere. Amia F.'s article, "From Zero to Hero" reminded me a lot about myself. Like her, I was skinny and made fun of. I had a few friends, but still felt very lonely. On my final year of middle school, things just...worked out. A lot like they did for Amia. She got ready for prom night, and actually felt pretty and liked. Because she felt so, other thought of her in the exact same way. Reading this article made me think back and smile.
