In “God and Santa Claus”, Clare Lyle grew up religious, but started losing faith once she learned about science. I can relate to this because my thoughts started to change, too. Like Clare, I grew up going to church every Sunday. When I started learning more about science, the world became clearer.

The author also stopped believing in Santa about the same time she stopped believing in God. After she read a book about physics, it disproved the existence of Santa. I can relate to this because when I learned more in science, what I believed in as a child didn’t make sense in the real world.
