You pull your weeds
I hope
I never get
too old
"too mature"
to pick
dandilion bouquets.
I think they're beautiful.
They're summer.
and sticky and yellow.
And they make me happy.
And it makes me happy
to give them away.
They brighten people's days.
I've seen it.
I know the truth.
Even if they are "only weeds"
Who decides wgat a weed or flower anyways?
And who are they
to look at me as if I'm crazy
like, I'm doing something wrong.
Just let me pick my flowers,
and I'll let you pull your weeds.
