Why I'm Proud to be an American
Why I am proud to be an American
California; where the sunsets are pink and orange and there’s salt in the air. Where the sun is high up and the moon shines bright. Those were what my days consisted of. Laying in the yard listening to the cicadas and being surrounded by the warmth of the sun on my pale skin.
That’s why I’m proud to be an American.
The sound of the waves crashing in the Pacific ocean, it was like music to my ears.
Laying outside all day in the heat with a sprinkler hitting my skin. Days seemed perfect, and nights were calm. I felt as though nothing could ever go wrong.
Life here is an all American Dream. The beauty of this state is like no other, you cannot compare. The hills, the sky, the ocean, and grass; everything so perfect, I promise it could last.
That is why I’m proud to be an American.
