Finding Peace
During this year, well in the past couple of months, I feel I have found a new outlook of life. My discovery began when I was diagnosed with the genetic disease Von Hippel-Lindau after discovering more tumors in my eye. The news was a hard pill to swallow. No one knows their future, but this diagnosis made me think hard about mine. What I discovered is you can’t worry about things you don’t know. Instead you must find peace in the here and now. During Christmas time, I feel peace and joy is advertised to us constantly, but what can a store tell me about peace. For them, it’s not an original idea. Peace is offered to us through a Man who was born into this earth and laid in a manger, a Man who grew up to be a teacher and healer, and a Man who died to become our Savior. I pray for happiness and blessings for you and your family this Christmas, and that at whatever stage of life you are at, I pray you find peace in your current circumstance. Merry Christmas!
