The State of Hip Hop
In today’s world of music, there’s all different types of genres and sub genres, but the most controversial one today is Hip Hop & Rap.
Hip Hop started its journey around the 1980’s with just the simple rhymes. The first successful rap song at the time was, “The Breaks” by Kurtis Blow and in a span of 5 years it took a life of its own. From Rakim, to N.W.A, to Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G, to Kanye West, then to “mumble rappers” like Lil Yachty or Lil Xan. See people nowadays care about what people are talking about BUT Hip Hop was created to break rules and push boundaries! So it shouldn’t matter about what they are talking about or who THEIR favorite rappers are. At the end of the day just respect what they do for a living. Everybody wants to see another day.
With all the diversity in Hip Hop, we should be celebrating just that! Not trying to destroy it...
