If we go into the next season with a pessimistic attitude then we will most likely have the same results. A pessimistic attitude leads the team falling apart and it makes the game feel like a job. Pessimism also leads to blame, blame is what tears apart any organization. When a team goes 0-9 it is easy for the players to blame it on each other which makes it harder for the team to do well the next season. When a team is optimistic you do not see people blaming each other, you see a strong team that is willing to stand with each other and fight through any challenges we face. The downfall of most teams is pessimism, at my current school everytime we would lose we would all blame it on each other and fight. At my old school we went undefeated every year i was there, not because of superior athletic talent but because of our good attitude and willingness to work. Without optimism a team will lose their drive and give up on each other more easily. The teams you see winning from highschool to the NFL are rooted in encouragement rather than punishment. The  Patriots coach Bill Belichick believes that players should be rewarded for success and rather than being punished for mistakes being taught to fix them. LSU’s head coach, Ed Orgeron has won over 1200 games in 123 seasons of football including the 2020 College football championship, he has achieved this high level of success by helping his players learn instead of tearing them down any chance he gets. My old strength coach also had this mindset, he was the most intense coach I have ever had, but he also never lost faith in us and loved every single one of us.
