My Toy Car
A few days ago I was laying on my bed playing on my phone. I was very bored. Then, my grandma came into my house. I walked downstairs to see why she was here. She had a bag full of thingies. I asked what was in the bag, so she showed me. It was four toy cars, one for my mom, one for my dad, one for my brother, and one for me. I was so excited because I got to pick the color. I was also excited because it was a McLaren car! I knew it would look good displayed in my room.
My color options for my car were white, red, and green. Of course I chose green because green is a beautiful color. It was a very unexpected present because people don’t normally get me toys, especially toy cars.
Now I keep my green toy McLaren car in my closet. I haven’t forgotten about the car though, I have a fort in the bottom of my closet. I put it on one of the shelves that are in my fort. I set my car next to my color changing night light and my hangers. Everytime I go into my fort I see my car and I sort of laugh because it is slightly odd for a teenager to still have a toy car.
Besides from the looks, my favorite part of my new toy car is that it is super fast. I pushed it on the floor to see if it was a fast car or if it was slow, and let me tell you it was very fast. It can go from my living room to my kitchen in like two seconds. It can even go pretty fast on ice, even if it’s bumpy. I only drove it on the ice once though, I don’t want snow to get under the wheels. Maybe one day I’ll bring it to class and see how fast it goes in Mr. Sparks’ room because his flooring looks like my car can go very fast on it.
I think the next time I go to the store I’ll get a race track for my car to race on. I might also get a few more toy cars so my green McLaren car can race them. I’d set the race track up on my desk so I could sit in my comfy chair and make my cars race. It would be cool to get a racing track for my cars because maybe I’d be on my phone less. Maybe it would also be good to get a race track because my little brother might want to play cars with me.
The toy car is special to me because my grandma got it for me. It feels nice to get gifts because that means that someone was thinking of you. It’s also just a really fun thing to play with when you’re bored. It will really come in handy when I get grounded and can’t have my cell phone.
