Human rights
Important news:
#2 Human Rights
Human rights include the right to life, and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and much more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. BUT although they are, doesn’t mean everyone is being treated with equality or freedom. An example would be George Floyd. Yes, you have probably heard a lot about him because he died after a policeman kneeled over his neck for more than 8 minutes. It took prominently 8 minutes and 46 seconds for him to die. Yes, it is sad, and the worst thing was that his daughter, Gianna Floyd, watched it all.
HOW TO SPREAD THE WORD
Social media is a good way to start off, but a few other good ideas are to protest. A protest is when a large group or small group marches down streets and speak what they believe. Or, you could also raise funds to help out with spreading the word or to help a cause. And if you're feeling very brave, maybe try sending an e-mail or a letter to authorities or a mayor or president stating what you want to be done and why.
FACTS
1. Human Rights Day is held on the 10th of December every year to promote and help get the rights and freedoms of or to people across the globe.
2. Did you know that in 2011, the United Nations or States declared internet access to all human rights.
3. Nearly 21 million people from all around the world are the victims or slaves of forced or harsh/cruel labor.
DEFINITION/MEANING
Human rights are moral principles or norms that describe certain standards of human behavior and are regularly protected in the justice system and in international law. Or, a simple meaning would be a right that is believed to belong justifiably to every person no matter race, religion, or and sexuality.
