Amazing Love
I break your heart. I say mean words, words that cut like knives and leave a permanent mark. I tell you that you annoy me. Sometimes, I don’t even talk to you at all. I make you sad. I frustrate you. I bewilder you. Yet, you love me. You call me Angel, Sweetie, Baby. You try to console me when I’m inconsolable. When I’m not well, you help me heal. You tell me I’m beautiful on my worst days. You love me, and I don’t deserve it. I don’t deserve you. How can you still love me when I treat you so badly? Where do you get such strength and perseverance? I know that you were put in my life for a reason. You were meant to save me. You were meant to make me a better person. Because of you, I am able to go out into the world with confidence. Because of you, I am prepared to take on life as an individual. I don’t tell you enough how much I love you and how much you amaze me. You are my rock, my shield, and my hope. So, I may break your heart, but I love you with all of mine.
