Charles Darwin was an English naturalist who realized and demonstrated that all species of life have evolved over time from common ancestors through the process called natural selection.

Charles Darwin was born in Shropshire, England on February 12, 1809. He was the fifth of six siblings. His parents were doctor and financer, Robert Darwin and Susannah Darwin. Charles attended Strewoury School as a border. Darwin got married to his cousin Emma Wedgwood on January 29, 1839. He had 10 children, but 3 of them died before adulthood. He went on a sea voyage with captain Robert FitzRoy. Darwin went to make natural history collections. He saw and learned about animals, fossils, and natives. The name of the ship was the HMS Begle. The ship sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, around the coasts of the Southern part of South America. On this voyage, while observing fossils he noticed something that made him come up that all things evolved from common ancestors. He studied his
