Harriet Tubman and the Great Railroad was the lesson of the day in my history class. I kicked my white converse together just for any distraction as the clock went by too slowly. Demi Lovato, my teacher, couldn’t teach to save her career.

“Have a wonderful day” was screamed in our ears as the bell woke us all up.

I went outside to get any breath of fresh air that I could, but I ended up drowning in Pewaukee lake as I watched the light rain and clouds disappear from my view sight.

Concentrate.

I slowly watched as the purple squid squirted its ink into my eyes to the point where all I could hear was Micheal whispering “te amo”.

Suddenly, with no hesitation, I felt the night breeze and cold air once again fill my lungs. Out of the blue, Harry Styles started singing “Shawty, come out of the water” to me as I slowly got up to my feet.

Come here and sit.

I could smell the belgium waffles with whipped cream and strawberries from miles away out of the windows of the nearest village home. The goal is to give every breathing child that smell and to feel that breeze.

The dark yellow of the sun beat down on my pale skin as I realized I had made it, in fact, into the great city of Rome. I watched as my hair started to turn the color of Arnold Palmer. The population was 890,367,99,870, said a sign off of the freeway nearby.

I had made it.

I watched the man of my dreams start sprinting towards me, and all I could think was, “if the whole world was watching, I’d still dance with you”.

The natural sunlight of my bedroom opened my eyelids, to the sad reality of dreaming.
