My Name
My Name
My name is something rough. It is sturdy, and it is unwavering. It’s like a thick oak tree in the wind. Although, it is also smooth, calm and unbothersome.
My name doesn’t have much meaning. It is simply one that sounded good to my mother. My mom had always known that if she were to have a son that he would be named “Brandon”. And so I was.
The pronunciation starts off with a heavy boom of the oak tree in the beginning coming from the letter B. The sound then resembles that of the calm lake, as the rest of the name flows out like a stream through the vocal chords. But, right in the middle of the smooth sounding of the name is a sudden, rough, “duh” that comes out of nowhere to disrupt the flow of the sound.
My name is like a calm lake. A still forest. A grassy hill that has been untouched by anyone. Straight forward, easy to pronounce, creating little confusion, but also little attention. Thats the way I like it.
I’m okay with my name. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it, but I feel that it fits me. Simple and carefree. But complicated and detail-oriented. Anything I want it to be.
Because it’s so simple, I can make a meaning for my name however I would like. As I go about life, my actions reflect my name. When people think of my name, they think of the things I’ve done.
My name is calm and laid back, as am I. I’m carefree and simple. Not much typically bothers me. I come off as being plain, possibly even boring, as does my name. I typically go about my day without much worry and not thinking too hard about some things. I’m also simple in the way that there’s not much about me that distinguishes me from others. I’m okay with that, I don’t try to stand out, and neither does my name.
I come off as being plain, possibly even boring, as does my name.
Simple may mean boring sometimes, or dull. But whether good or bad, my name still reflects me well.
Brandon.
