Verdant
I asked my parents, “What is your favorite color?” My mom replied, “Green”, and my Dad followed by saying, “Me too”.
Mother Nature wears the color green. Her garments vary from luscious grass, to mighty trees, to microscopic insects. Mother nature is not the only one who wears green, there are many others, turtles, caterpillars, praying mantises, they all exemplify green.
Green provides peace and calmness around the world.
The ocean is my favorite place. The ocean is like the color green, it gives me a sense of calmness. The mixture of blue and green in the waves gives me a sense of tranquility and a feeling that Everything will be ok.
My parents took me to Disneyland. I found myself talking to a turtle, his name was Crush. “What is your favorite color?" Crush replied saying, “Take a Guess”, I said, “Green?”, and he happily said, “purple”.
This memory reminds me of my role models as a kid and brings back the feeling of happiness and innocence from my childhood.
Many of my role models from when I was a kid correlated with the color green. Whether that was Crush, Master Oogway, or even Yoda, but the biggest role models that shaped my favorite color were my parents.
The admiration I have for my parents is why I chose green as my favorite color and why I have stuck with it ever since.
For me, the color green represents the gift that my parents gave me, life.
