Back Home
I see the girls giggling, the boys fighting. There's the faces of thinking and the pencils are tapping. The lockers slamming, the secrets being whispered. The roar of the lunch crowd, unique faces. Kids running, teachers yelling. I imagine the amazed look on my face when I saw him, then the delighted face when I saw my friends. Meeting new people, forgetting your class. Jocks, preps, skaters, goths, all originals. Books falling, bag zippers zipping. Crazy bus ride, crazy classmates, crazy teachers, crazy lunches, crazy rules, crazy assignments, I am back home.
