Do you live in an urban area full of houses? How about a rural area full of farmland? In a few more years, there may be no such thing as rural or suburban. Overpopulation has already resulted in disaster and destruction for Earth’s environs. The purpose of this essay is to show the effects of overpopulation.

One major problem that overpopulation may have on the globe is the destruction of Earth’s limited space. A devastating element being considered is the destruction of animal ecosystems. For example, rain forests and wilderness environs may be cut down for selfish human needs. We also need to take account of crowding. Running out of space for stores and utility buildings to be replaced by housing may sacrifice the current human lifestyle. Also, a very larger concern of the government’s is the funding required for a disaster like this. America has already been pushed off the edge of the fiscal cliff and the trillions of dollars it will take to fund something like this would only cause more depression. Worst of all is the beauties of Earth revoked. For example, even the Seven Wonders of the World and perhaps borders will be removed. Clearly, the crowding effects of overpopulation must be considered by humans.

Earth also needs to keep in mind the resourcefulness accompanied with this movement. For starters, fossil fuels must be eliminated. This means America must stop funding for big oil companies immediately. America must move onto focusing on natural renewable resources. Likely, this will result in expensive funding from the government, which brings us back to the issue of cost. Government funds are now to be directed towards what is best for the planet, not the “business.” However, the biggest problem of all will be global shortages. There is barely enough food and electricity to circulate the planet as it is, and overpopulation will only worsen this. Are America and the rest of the world ready for this new direction?

In Conclusion, overpopulation may severely damage the planet. In other words, humans must be ready for the shortages and new issues that lie ahead. Animal habitats must still be preserved and electricity must still be created. Changes will occur and bad times will come for the globe, but that should not stop from continuing to liver efficiently. Keep in mind that while overpopulation can never be prevented, it can be stopped.
