Why is it illegal
There are many great things about the country of the United States but everything great must have some flaws. Some of the flaws like The police brutality on certain race. What about the fact that We live in a country mainly built off oil and gasoline. Even worse, how our military strikes fear and hatred into the eyes of little middle eastern kids. But there is one problem that affects thousands of people here in the United states everyday and that problem is the illegalization of gay marriage.
Why is gay marriage illegal? These are just normal people disscriminated on their sexual thoughts. This is supposed to be a free nation and people should have the freedom to have there sexual opinion. This should already be in the constitution as an amendment. Why is the government so afraid of having legal gay marriage. Why are they scared of something that should be normal.
We have had some accomplishments throughout the years. Some states like California, New York and most recently Florida have legalized this. But there are also states like Texas and Louisiana that still keep it illegal. We are still ahead of Russia that illegalizes being gay in general. But for the states that keep it illegal What is so wrong with something that adds not much extra to a person.
In conclusion though most states have improved from their homophobic thoughts there are still the states that haven’t . Why is this such an unachievable goal why can’t we have more free nation and let people be the way they are. Why don’t we take away one of a few flaws to this great nation.
