Duke's View MAG
Seeing what I have never seen before
I looked a little harder, wrinkling up myeyes
I saw a smile caused by new life.
Crimson lips and sky-blueeyes,
Five little peach fingers on each velvet soft hand.
New life in thearms of a mother.
I looked a little harder, and saw this angel they callMadison.
My tail did not wag
And I did not kiss this little child.
To meI could not see what all these smiles were for.
They had me -
One bigbrown beast -
I have soft pink lips,
And huge brown eyes.
Five claws oneach huge velvet furred paw.
A long finely combed tail.
Oh wait-
Her hand is laid upon my head ...
I see the little angel smile,
Ithink of all the things that I can teach her.
I wag my tail and extend a paw...
This kid may not be all that bad.
