In a world of confusion, hope, and great love, a bouncing baby girl with shining blue eyes enters the world of life. With glassy eyes and quirky body movements, she arrives into a family desperate for her laughter.

A year later, with chestnut brown curls and rosy red cheeks, she toddles her first steps. In lacy tights and frilly dresses, she stumbles over her patent-leather Mary Janes. She giggles with light-heartedness as her father lifts her. She is a dream after seven years of hope and disappointment.

She uses this to her advantage, tilting her head and showing a smile that lights up her face and everything around her, knowing that every heart she can melt means a wish granted. Above those hearts is her father. As he looks in her eyes, he sees his own glass-blue eyes starring back. She is his mirror image of youth and the opposite gender.

Years later, a young woman sits starring at a photograph. Like him, her father, she can see herself in his eyes. She remembers his laugh. His voice is forgotten. It has been gone for awhile, for he died when she was just six, too young to understand death, but old enough to recognize it. She hears his laughter in her brother, his other soul reflection, as it bubbles from deep within their past, a past full of happy times and hard, she could always fill her father's face with joy. c
