A 14 year olds' view on love
Love is amazing isn't it? The bad part is, it makes you so vulnerable. It opens up your heart and it means that one person can get inside you and mess you up. It's giving someone your heart, knowing that they can destroy your whole world when you do that, but you trust them not to. You build up all these defenses so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid, amazing person wanders into your life...and you give them a piece of you. It's not like they asked for it. They did something one day, like smile at you, and then your world is suddenly upside down. Love takes control. Soon, every thought that crosses your mind is revolved around that one person. Love gets inside you. It's like quicksand-the deeper you fall in, the harder it is to get out. It fills you up and leaves you smiling with no clue why. But it can hurt, it can get inside you and rip you apart. Love is so complicated!
