The Trooper
As he gets ready,
Cleaning that gun, polishing that brass,
He must keep steady,
For it to turnout as luminous as glass.
When he puts on the uniform,
He feels the power inside,
Awaiting the extreme; awaiting the norm,
That “LSP” badge forms the pride.
Now is the moment he is ready for,
What his life is about,
To put them behind bars,
“Forever away goes the prisoner, never to come out.”
It is this Trooper that informs you,
Guides those who are wrong,
He helps with your protection too,
And then clocks out to his family at home
