If you’ve ever wanted to spend some time with your family and make some delicious treats for them, Emmy Beaumier is the right person to go to. Emmy and her grandma make special Oreo truffles whenever they hang out together; it’s her favorite activity to do when she visits her grandma.

The first step you need to do is pick out your favorite flavor of chocolate and Oreos. “When grandma and I pick out our truffle ingredients, we always choose the original chocolate Oreos and milk chocolate to dip them in,” says Baumier, a student at Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wisconsin. After the ingredients are all picked out (one box of Oreos, two bars of chocolate, and a block of cream cheese) and your work space is set up, you're going to begin by putting the milk chocolate in a saucepan over medium heat for five minutes. Then take the Oreos and dump them into a food processor to grind them into small pieces. Following that step, you're going to combine all of the cream cheese and the crushed Oreos. After that you will dip them into the chocolate with a fork and then put them on the plate.

“Grandma and I love to top the truffles with sea salt and M&M’s!” Baumier exclaims, however you can use whatever toppings you'd prefer. As long as the truffles turn out as delicious and savory as you’d hope, that’s all that matters.
