Golden Tint
I rushed down the stairs skipping every other one. My feet up high and my hands shaking back and forth above my head. It didn't matter how fast I got there or where I was going for that matter but where I am now. I was moving, soaring nearly, my feet caressed the ground in a swift movement. Its for me, its for me, its for me I keep telling myself. I am almost there, so close my hand could reach and grab it. The golden egg was there. The light hit it just right. It was brilliant and my dream. My dream to open the edges and find my love. My love, oh my love, I would find. I began to peel back the aluminum with my tiny fragile fingers. It made the most beautiful sound crinkling in my clutch. The golden tint shown off the windows into the room making the kitchen appear as if magic. Bibbity- bobbity- boo and all was still for the golden tint. Oh my love, my love, my only love the golden easter egg with the brilliance that makes me curious.
