Things I Carry
You ask me what I carry and I tell you I don’t know.
It is a simple question with a hidden meaning that needs to be thought out.
I will tell you the physical things I carry such as a
Watch,
Book,
Backpack,
But my physical traits are my identification and my uniqueness.
I carry my mother’s lips, my father’s eyes
I carry the family Genes, along with the Moss’s smile.
I carry with me a part of my mother, my father and my ancestors.
Not only am I a part of two, but I am a whole of one.
On outside I carry traits and substance.
But what I carry inside me is so more then these items.
I carry with me weight to be a successful student, friend and daughter.
Every failure I make adds another mark on my back to be held with me.
I carry my mistakes from the past which in turn lead me to a better future.
I carry my heart on my sleeve to pass off compassion and love to others.
I carry what I have done, what I am doing, and what I will be.
I carry physical and emotional objects, traits whatever you want to identify them as.
So you ask me what I carry.
In turn I give you my answer…
The things I carry are an endless list of material matter along with the burden of my sentiments.
