When an Unstoppable Force Meets the Future
People get smarter
people get meaner
people get taller
people get even more hard headed
people get stupider [literally]
people get high
teachers aren't mr. or mrs. or miss. anymore.
they're your boss.
your friends aren't your fellow classmates anymore.
they're just aquaintences or colleagues.
your family isn't your brother or your sister anymore.
they're just another face in the crowd.
your family isn't your mom or dad anymore.
they're just some old people with walkers now.
your girlfriend isn't the one thing you cherish the most anymore.
she's the one thing you want to get away from.
your job isn't something thats getting you money.
its something thats making you do something rather than nothing.
things don't cost a handful of change, or a few dollars.
they cost a couple handfuls, a charge card or two, a loan, or a mortgage.
sugar is losing its taste.
wait a minute. thats impossible. D:
but its possible.
the light gets a little brighter, your bones start to creak a little more.
your joints crack and your tendons stretch more then they should.
your eyes feel like they've been used too much.
everything has changed.
things new back then are old and outdated now.
a dollar isn't worth jack shit anymore.
the people you thought you'd always be friends with vanish and things get a whole lot more complicated.
you just want to start a fight, join a gang, go 'destroy something beautiful'.
sit somewhere alone, listen to music that makes you angry and upset. for no reason at all.
or just sit, and think about all the things you wish you'd done, and the things you wish you hadn't done.
because that sucks after a while. a while of thinking about what you have now, and what you could've had if you changed a few things.
because when you think about it, you're getting older.
see? another second older.
and another.
and another...
sucks.
don't it?
