the relationship with my first cd
My name is Sierra and hen I was about five years old my dad had bought a blank cd so that I could put songs I liked on it. my parents never got married while being together and when I was about two my parents broke up. I had switched going to their houses I stayed at my mom’s on school days, and went to my dad’s on the weekends. At this point in my life I was living in Owensbro Kentucky, I was a happy kid until my parents went in different directions because im gonna see one and not the other. I had a big thing for Taylor Swift because she inspired me so much and I Liked her old music but not all of the songs on the cd were her songs. But When the day came I had to write down songs that I liked, which took like a half an hour because I was picky with the music that I liked and the fact that I needed 20 to 25 songs.
So before we sat at his computer typing in the songs and downloading them on the cd, my dad had his girlfriend over and she was just leaving so me and my dad could make the cd. I hated her so much because she thought she ran the world. When we were done making the cd I ran to my room and put it in the Xbox to listen to it and it made me happy. I didn't listen to it much because I was always losing the cd. I watched my dad and his ex-girlfriend get into fights and she got physical.Almost a year later after making the cd my dad went to jail and I moved to auburn nh. Whenever I talked to him on the phone I would almost cry and after talking to him I would put the CD into my Xbox because it put me in a better mood.
I stopped talking to my dad a couple of years back of him being in jail. I'm pretty sure I said to him that I didn't want to see him when he got out. I would put the cd on replay in my room pretty loud and sing to the lyrics. I ended up losing the CD a little bit after that. But after a few years I decided I might wanna live with my dad and not my mom because I can't even stand any of my moms boyfriends. I'm glad that my dad and his girlfriend broke up because it was her fault that he went to jail. One of my favorite songs on the cd was “Our Song” by Taylor Swift, I love shouting the lyrics, ”I was riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car, I grabbed a pen and an old napkin and I wrote down our song”.
From this song I learned that not everything is going to be perfect like in some songs.
