Sacramento is a small town yet filled with many fun activities.  Some of our famous places here to visit is the Crocker Art museum, Cal Expo, Sacramento Zoo, The Color Run. The most popular place to visit is the Golden 1 Center where concerts, disney on ice and other events happen.  All these places are fun to visit with family on the weekends. There are beautiful streets filled with people full of joy and children full of giggles. We also have beautiful bike trails next to lakes, amd great jobs for highschool dropouts.  Who wouldn’t want to live here!

Sike, I wish Sacramento was like this.   Not everyone can visit those famous places because of financial issues.  I don't live near lakes so there are no “beautiful” bike trails the only “trail” near me is the dirt passway the homeless stumble through.  Most schools here are extremely old and we can't afford to buy new textbooks and go on fieldtrips. On my way walking home from school, I'm scared for my life.  There's a suspicious white van following me, running and stumbling over my own feet trying to catch my breath i finally lose them, it looks like something you would see out of a kidnap movie.  As I continue to make my way down the dirty streets I get slapped in the face by a strong scent of weed. Walking past the trashed park populated with homeless people and bloods (a gang), I see the “no go getters” from my school rolling up the devils lettuce while trying to hide the cuts and scars on their wrist… numbing the pain.  Sleeping peacefully like sleeping beauty I get startled out of my sleep by the loud gunshots. Also there are no stores close to my house, traveling miles to get to an In n Out or to a grocery store, this makes it hard for the people who do not own a car or a bike.

Although, everyone who does not live in Sacramento thinks everything is all peaches and cream because its located in California but we do have a ton of issues that no one is talking about.  One of the issues is that the Foster Care system is absolutely horrible, they take centuries to investigate if a child is being mistreated and abused. Which makes me think that their ignoring the reports sent in.  Another issue is that there are so many poor families in Sacramento, living off food stamps to survive. There are homeless everywhere, there's a homeless man sleeping in front of my school as i'm typing this. Rent is getting higher and taxes are extremely high, and our taxes money gets handed to people on food stamps and cash assistance, which some people sell to get their drugs when they need they need to be providing for their children.  It's a messed up city.

All in all, Sacramento has some pros and cons to it, but it depends on how you want to look at it.  My advice would be to don't believe everything you might see or hear about on television or on social media because there's always parts of a city their hiding from you and not showing the reality.
