I grew up as a tomboy, wearing bagging dark clothes. I loved to play sports and games. But I was always doubted because I am a girl. And that sports and games aren’t meant for girls. People would also doubt me because I’m not skinned and how I don’t wear girly clothes. Growing up, I felt like I was hitting every brick wall. Like as if every door would always be closed because of what my gender is, how I appear and what my race is. “Girls can’t play sports.” “How are you supposed to run if you look like that?” “ Asians can’t play sports.” I have heard all of it, it made me feel like I was good at nothing. I’m not good with makeup, I can’t cook or clean, I don’t have any fashion taste. Who am I supposed to be then, if I’m not good at anything?......Even being myself.
