baseball
One time I was watching my brother play baseball with my family and something horrifying happened. My brother's team was doing pretty good. One of my brother's teammates stepped up to bat. He was a big hitter so I was excited to see him try to get a big hit.
I had a slight fear that something might go wrong. Something about a foul ball flying towards us and hitting someone. I wasn't too worried because it was unlikely.
He approached the plate and got into a batting stance. The pitcher winded up and threw the ball at the batter. The batter swung at the ball and I heard a loud clang. The ball went flying into the air.
For a moment when I was looking at the ball in the sky I realized it was flying towards me. I start to flinch in the opposite direction. I was relieved after I realized it had missed me.
It hit my dog. When I heard a loud bark coming from him I knew something was wrong. He was hit in his torso. Everyone there was so worried about him. I couldn't believe that he was hit and I felt so sad for him.
My mom asked Me, “Is he okay?”
I told her I didn't know. So I looked him over and he didn't have any bumps or bruises.
He acted weird for a few minutes. He sat on the ground and looked a little hurt. But not too long after he hopped back to normal and was a happy dog.
