Never For Nothing
It is hard to comprehend the self-sacrificial love of Jesus. Why would a perfect God care about something that is so broken? By choice we ruined what once was sacred and stained what once was clean. Looking out into our dark, crooked world, I can’t help but wonder,
“Was it all for nothing?”
But the more I think about it, the more I realise it was for that very reason he died; to heal the broken and save the lost. Christ bled his love so that we can taste his sweet mercy. Jesus chose me, knowing I might never love him back, might never understand or even care about his sacrifice. He loved me, and still loves me, even when I can't love myself.
Love is never for nothing.
