Social Awkwardness/Anxiety
I’m not sure if my experience with social awkwardness is present just because I’m a teenager or whether it’s a life-long feeling. I always feel like a misfit when I’m around crowds of people, even my own friends. Sometimes I won’t even speak to them out of the fear of judgement. I’m afraid to make mistakes, come across as too naive and so it just seems easier to keep my mouth shut. However, this self-isolation is a vicious cycle that keeps getting worse because I’m distancing myself from others more and more…it all feels weird.
