Hit Me
Can you not stand to lose me, like I can’t stand to lose you? There was really nothing specific about that comment, but it feels like you’re afraid to lose the ties. We wouldn’t be completely missing each other, but it could never measure up to the memories we make sitting side by side, laughing about nothing and hiding all our pent-up feelings. I don’t think I could love you anymore, but I couldn’t tell you that, either. That one thought of you actually leaving me for even a little while seemed like an insane impossibility. I guess I’m just so used to you, I can’t let go. I would stick by your side, forever, no doubt. I would give my life for you; I’d do anything to make you happy. So why don’t you shine your smile over here for just a little while longer? Hit me with those eyes again.
