Dumpster in a Field
There are many different traumatic events that can happen to people in the world that can change their experience in life. But there are also some instances that happen in the world that do not matter as much but they also have a dramatic experience on our life. This this small event happen happened to me and it made me think of driving much differently.
On the first day I drove a car my father let me drive his car in in a field where he had taught my other siblings how to drive. Every time that my father taught my other siblings to drive there was always a smooth flowing time for their first time driving. That was not the same situation for me I was learning how to turn and how to shift and the entire essential for driving and everything was going fine. But then began to learn how to back up and it was not as smooth as the other things that I learned how to do and I began to panic and backed into a dumpster.
Even though the event of backing into the dumpster was not a super traumatic event it still has a very big impact on my driving experience. This event wasn’t just me backing in to the dumpster it was how my father reacted during the events. While I was backing into the dumpster my father started to yell and say stop and it made me realize I needed to handle myself in stressful situations. I began to even think to not drive again because of that experience, but it was only a small experience compared to the many different perks of driving. And I then began to just continue driving and I soon realized if that situation were to happen to me again I would continue to drive and not began to be stressed.
Since the days of this experience I have become much stronger in backing up but not only that I have learned how to deal with stressful situations such as school, work, and money issues. As some people say that they never want the traumatic to happen them and some wish that the situation always happen to them, I believe that I would want the situation of me running in to the dumpster to happen to me. This situation has made me a much better person no matter how small the situation is.
