There has recently been a first experience in my life where I have had to learn something new and that was fly fishing. At the end of my junior year we had too register for different classes that we would like to take next year as seniors and my friend told me I should sign up for a class called outdoor seminar. We were required to learn how to fly fish in a class called outdoor seminar and I have never done this before so I was very weary but was willing to try.
In the first day we watched some information videos on how to fly fish they told me some of the different information on how to fly fish but it was not as informing as being out in the river trying to fly fish yourself. We then went outside and began to practice casting and I got the hang of it quickly
Learning how to fly fish has also taught many other activities, such as how to tell the weather, for instance when there is a thunder storm if you here thunder for every five seconds there is after you see lightning it is a mile per five seconds.
This experience has helped me in my life because it gave me initiative to try new things such as skydiving and scuba diving. It is always important to try new things because if you go through your life doing the same routine everyday it will drive you crazy and you will not be as happy in life. With this experience I have given my life more initiative and have gotten a better job and have more money to do new exciting things and save money to go to college. This one experience of fly fishing has helped more in my life than I ever thought it could.
